Upcoming Events

The Twin Cities Lute Coop's music presentations are changing to a new format.  After the successful two year run of our "Thursday's at the Lute Cafe" program, we have decided to broaden our lute mission to let folks know about all the lute related events and concerts taking place in the Twin Cities area (that we are aware of).  The Lute Cafe concerts have moved to Messiah Episcopal Church located at 1631 Ford Pkwy, St. Paul (Three blocks East of Snelling Avenue).  Please check out the events listed below. We hope to see you at one of these performances! Oh, and let us know if your involved in an upcoming performance that includes a lute. Email: prukavina@aol.com with information.

“Music from the Inner Chamber: Renaissance Music for One and Two Lutes”

The Terzetti Lute Duo (Phillip Rukavina and Thomas Walker Jr.) takes us on a sonorous journey through 16th-century Europe, via the rich sounds of the Renaissance lute duet!  The concert features music by virtuoso Italian lutenists Giovanni Antonio Terzi (1593- ca.1620), Allesandro Piccinini (1566-1638), Vincenzo Galilei (1520-1591) and lovely settings of music by the famously melancholy English lutenist John Dowland (1563-1626) and Elizabeth I's own court lutenist John Johnson (1540-1594).

Saturday, October 4, 7:30 PM at Messiah Episcopal Church, 1631 Ford Pkwy, St. Paul

(Three Blocks east of Snelling Avenue)

Tickets are available at the door only - $10 suggested donation. Call 651-699-1808
